How do you get a sizzling Summer smacker? Easy! Turn up the heat on your lipsticks and lip glosses by choosing a new hot coral color. Now, I am not talking about your grandma's or (depending on your age) your great-grandma's red coral lipstick that stuck out like a sore thumb (sorry grandma!).
IT'S HARD WORK BUT SOMEONE HAS TO DO IT!
At first I thought that there was NO WAY that I could wear coral on my lips. Between my blonde hair and fair skin I thought I would look "over done". But instead I decided to go out to Sephora (you never have to twist my arm to go there!) and try out some new color lip colors and you know what? I was wrong. I found some beautiful shades of coral that instantly warmed my face and even made my teeth look whiter. So no matter what your complexion there is a shade of coral that will make you look Summer Sheik.
MY FAIR LADY
For those of you who are fair skinned (me) go for a sheer lip gloss in coral. This will put the spotlight on your lips (I mean that in a good way) but, at the same time will compliment your complexion. I REALLY liked Guerlain Kiss Kiss Pearl Gloss in Coral Pearl.
THE GOLDEN GODDESSES
For those of you who are medium, olive and darker complected I say GO FOR IT! You can use a bold toned coral lipstick to get your coral groove on this Summer! Great choices are NARS in Beautiful Liar ,spiced coral (absolutely lovin' this color!) and Korres, Coral 45, vibrant coral. Both colors are beautiful so, go out and have yourself some fun trying out the new shades of Summer.
TIGHT LIPPED
Sun can dry out lips making them look old and for you lipstick lovers, lipstick only accentuates the dryness and lines in the lips. So be sure you prep your pout before you apply your fav lipstick. Try MD Skincare, Powerful Sun Protection SPF 25 lip Balm, available at Sephora. This product is a little pricey but it does a good job in keeping lips kissably soft and protected from the sun.
CHEAP THRILL
