(NOT QUITE ) SO SEXY! AVEDA WITCH HAZEL HAIRSPRAY

MY NOSE KNOWS
I was recently at Victoria's Secret and decided to purchase some of their So Sexy styling products for the hair. The packaging is what caught my eye. It had one of their models with her beautiful, flowing hair on the product and of course I thought "if it makes her hair look that good then of course mine will look just as good"! Right? Well not exactly. Once at home I decided to give the products a try but the problem was the over the top, perfumey scent of the styling cream and hairspray (talk about a turn-off). In my opinion they both smelled like a cross between Final Net hairspray and a really cheap perfume. As far as the products doing what they are supposed to do, they work okay, but not great.

IF YOU DON'T HAVE ANYTHING NICE TO SAY, THEN DON'T SAY ANYTHING AT ALL
The good news is that the scent of the V.S products lingers in your hair ALL day long, so those of you who like these products will be very happy! (I'm sorry, I couldn't end this blog on a negative note!)

F.Y.I. To make your fav fragrance last all day long, give a quick spritz of perfume to you hair. It really works.

SOOTHING SCENTS FOR YOUR STRANDS
If you want a nice fragrant scent in your hair products then I would go for the Aveda hair line. Their products have a very mild,organic and pleasant fragrance to them, nothing over the top.
I suggest using Aveda Witch Hazel hairspray it smells great and provides medium hold to hair.
If you are looking for a styling product then give Aveda Light Elements Defining Whip a try. This is a light styling product that provides movable hold for your hair.

THE MORAL OF THE STORY
So, have I learned not to buy products solely based on their packaging? Probably not. I must admit I am still a sucker for pretty packaging but I promise to keep working on it!
