I love the timeless look of the dramatic eye. Black or brown eyeliner paired with a neutral toned eyeshadow really makes eyes of all colors POP! This is a look that is easy to do because it doesn't require too much time or skill to achieve eye popping appeal. If this eye catching look is worthy enough for glam gals such as Jennifer Aniston, Angelina Jolie, Megan Fox and Cindy Crawford then it certainly is good enough for moi!
A LITTLE HELP PLEASE!
To get this look use an eyeliner pencil and make little dots along the lash line. Then use a sponge tipped applicator to blend the dots together. I like to next apply a line of powder eyeshadow in black ( of course) on top of the eyeliner. Then I lightly dust my lower lash line with the same shadow.
F.Y.I. For a little added drama you can use liquid liner instead of eyeshadow on top of the
pencil liner for a more defined eye.
Remember that when eyes are the main attraction of your face keep cheeks and lips natural looking. You don't want anything to up stage your eyes!
I AM NOT AN OLD FUDDY DUD!
I am well aware of the use of the new trendy color for eyeliner this season such as Estee Lauder Duo-Tone Eye Pencil in Aqua and Teal. I have seen a young celeb or two wearing this color as an accent eye color and it looks cute. However, I don't know that I would wear this color eyeliner alone on both my upper and lower lash line. I like to stick with what works and looks best.
