THE NEW WAY TO "GO GREEN"
I love the color green. I love to add some green to my outfits through bracelets, rings and necklaces but green nail polish? Like most women my age green is probably one of the last colors I would choose for my own nails. Right? Wrong. My latest " fling with green" is with Chanel Nail Colour in Jade. This nail color is a cool, minty green that is not too bright and not too dark. Chanel Nail Colour in Jade is a "mature" version of green. I have to admit that I was somewhat concerned that green nails on me might look like I was playing around with my daughter's nail polish. I definitely did not want to look like I was trying to be 16 again! But to my surprise, the Jade nail polish looked very nice on my hands. Although I would not suggest wearing this nail polish to the office, I would recommend it for the weekend.
NAIL TIPS
As with most bold nail colors, nail length should be kept short. Be sure that when you are painting your nails you take your time. Slow and steady strokes will allow the nail polish to look smooth and neat. I like to follow up with a clear coat of nail polish for added shine and color protection. Also, remember that when you are wearing a bolder nail color like the Chanel Nail Colour in Jade let your nails be the one doing the talking. Meaning that your clothes should not be as bold of a color as your nails. I love to "keep it simple" when I am wearing the Chanel Nail Color in Jade. My favorite pair of jeans, white t-shirt, brown jacket and a simple bracelet with a touch of jade in it is all I need for a relaxed weekend look.
