BARE MINERALS
THE FORGOTEN TREASUREDick Page who created this season's Holiday Collection from Shiseido used his collection of raw gems as his inspiration for this collection (the collection is fabulous!). What really caught my eye was the Shiseido Smoothing Eyeliner Pencil in Golden Green, which was inspired by Pyrite Sun. It is like a grey, sage green with a nice metallic sheen. I just LOVE this color. But I felt like I have seen this color somewhere else. I remembered that last year for Christmas my husband bought me the Bare Minerals, Bare Crystals Kit and in that kit was an eyeshadow in Gilded Quartz, which is so similar to the Shiseido Eyeliner. I was so excited to find it again!
REKINDLED ROMANCE
One thing that I really love about Bare Minerals Eyeshadow is that the colors are so beautiful and the pretty flecks of shimmer really brighten eyes. The Gilded Quartz shadow that I have "rediscovered" has a very pretty golden shimmer to it (looks good with my blonde hair and light brown eyes). Bare Minerals shadows come in a loose powder form which makes it super easy to blend and it won't slide off or wear off like other shadows do. I like to use the Gilded Quartz eyeshadow as my eyeliner. I use eyeshadow a lot as a liner because they are easy to "smudge". I am so glad that I found this eyeshadow again!
CLEANSE YOUR PALATE
What I like about having a large collection of makeup items like eyeshadow is that it allows you to change your "everyday" make routine. Switching things up allows you to create a new fresh look. And with all the beautiful holiday color makeup palates out, now maybe the best time to change things around! Sometimes you get lucky like I did and already have a "hot" new shade of the season in your makeup bag. So, be sure to check your "makeup stash" before your go out shopping.
Please let me know what you think. Till then! B.
