TIME TO WINTERIZE YOUR BEAUTY ROUTINE
Like it or not Winter is on its way.  With it comes harsh, cold temperatures and dry air.  Winter air has less moisture which causes skin to become dry this time of year.  If you use a foaming facial cleanser during the Winter you may be actually making your dry skin worse.  Most cleansers are foaming cleansers, they give your skin that "squeaky clean" feeling which I love in the Summer (my skin gets super slick in the Summer). However, the problem with this type of cleanser is that it strips away the protective layer of lipids on your skin that locks in moisture.  The result, skin feels tight and dry and fine lines and wrinkles are more pronounced.

RINSE CYCLE
The best way to help protect your skin while cleansing is to switch to a "non-foaming"cream cleanser such as Lancome Galatee Confort.This cleanser  is tough enough to remove makeup, dirt and oils while preserving the essential layer lipids that locks in skin's moisture.When using a cream cleanser use a soft tissue or damp cloth to wipe it off .  If however you are like me and you MUST rinse the cleanser off your face , use warm NOT hot water (hot water adds to dryness).
