Beauty Tips To Keep Your Hands Moisturized & Smooth
HANDS ON....
Our hands are often the objects of abuse from the environment and the cleaning products that we use on a daily basis. Hands are frequently exposed to harsh, drying elements such as soaps, cleaning products and dry cold air. The skin on your hands is thin and requires extra protection so don't be shy, slather-up!
A few simple steps and your hands will look and feel as good as you do. When washing your hands choose a soap that has moisturizers in them such as dove soap products. This will keep hands soft and will not strip them of moisture. If you are washing dishes by hand choose a dish soap that takes special consideration in the care of the skin on your hands.
Exfoliate, this removes dead and roughened areas of the hands .The action of massaging the exfoliant into the hands helps improve the blood circulation to hands. This should be done once a week. If you can't find an exfoliator specifically for hands then try using your facial exfoliator.
Moisturize! Use moisturizers specifically formulated for hands. These creams tend to be thicker to lock in moisture and also they don't wash off as easily. Neutrogena has a very nice hand cream that goes on easily, which won't leave hands sticky and hands still feel soft after washing them. Just a note; the best time to apply moisturizer is just after washing hands.
Pat hands and while they are still damp apply moisturizer. In order to get the best results, apply moisturizer at least 4x a day. Now I know this doesn't sound sexy, but when using cleaning products wear rubber cleaning gloves, really. This will ensure that hands do not come into contact with the harsh chemicals. Don't forget to take care of the hands that take care of the rest of you. Best of luck!

ALL SKIN SHOULD BE TREATED EQUALLY
Is your body jealous of all the attention your face gets? In the winter we tend not to pay as much attention to our legs, arms, and belly as we do in the warmer months because most of our bodies are hidden by clothing. So who cares what the skin on our bodies looks like, right?
Wrong! Why not care for the skin on our bodies as much as we care for the skin on our face. Take time to take care of your body on a regular basis to keep it in tip-top shape. Tackle skin issues now and reap the rewards this Spring and Summer. Stretch marks, yep, we have'em either from pregnancy{thanks mother nature!} or rapid weight loss or gain.
Stretch marks are tiny tears in the dermis called striae. You have a better chance of effectively treating them when they are new. They will appear blue or red in color. Once they turn white the become harder to treat. A product such as Clarins Stretch Mark Control helps to reduce the appearance of old marks and prevent future marks.
What about those pesky bumps found on the upper arms and thighs, lovingly known as "chicken skin." Those little bumps keep skin from looking soft and smooth. To improve skin's complexion zap that skin with a chemical exfoliant such as Dermadoctor KP Duty. Lastly, {what I need most} is to liven up dry, dull skin. Use a body exfoliator to remove dead skin cells and reveal new, younger looking and feeling skin. Find a good body scrub that has emollient oils to lock in moisture. Let me know your personal skin issues and what you've found that works well.

EYE Need Help!!!
Some say that you can tell a lot about a person just from looking in their eyes. So what do your eyes say about you? Ideally, I would want my eyes to speak loudly that I am youthful, healthy, energetic and happy. However, sometimes the forces of nature are not always on the same page as we are. {i.e. fine lines, wrinkles, dark circles and puffiness.}
Eyes need extra T.L.C than the rest of your face because the skin surrounding them is very thin and tends to be the first place that the signs of aging appear. So, give your eyes what they crave.

- To treat dark circles try Cosmedicine Opti-mologist Eye Cream With Light Diffusers it is packed with light-diffusing crystals to blur circles.
- For under eye puffiness try Caudalie Contour Cream Eyes and Lips. This product keeps eyes bright and firm and helps to deflate puffiness.
- For fine lines and wrinkles I have tried and loved a product that was used during a facial at The Red Door Spa, Prevage Eye Anti- Aging Moisturizing Treatment. It is a little pricey but well worth the investment.
So whatever eye dilemma you have, I'm sure one of these products will help tackle the problem and reveal brighter more youthful eyes.
SUN Damaged Goods
You love the sun! You love the way your golden tan looks, but over time your face starts to show signs of sun damage called hyper-pigmentation. Hyper-pigmentation (aka age spots) is caused by increased production of melanin, the protein that gives skin its color.
Melanin blocks the skin from damaging UV rays penetrating the skin. Using UVA/UVB sunscreen is a great way to prevent further age spots. Well what to do about the spots you have now...
I have found a few products that have helped me correct the effects of sun damage...
1. Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum - this product helps to improve the look of dark spots.
2. DDF Fade Gel 4 - this product helps to even skin tone. Minimize hyper-pigmented areas, and fade age spots. This product uses hydroquinone to lighten skin, by stopping melanin production in areas of extra-pigmentation.
This is not a quick fix, it takes time to diminish the damaged caused by the sun. It took some time to get the tan and will also take some time to undo the damage. Keep up with the treatment and I am sure you will be happy with the results. Best of luck and don't forget the sunscreen!

Make A Clean Sweep - Why It's Great To Exfoliate Your Skin
No matter what skin type you have, everyone can benefit from exfoliating. Exfoliating sloughs away dead skin cells. It can also smooth fine lines and changes the overall texture of your skin for the better. Exfoliating will reveal a more radiant and even toned complexion. Exfoliants can come in different forms such as, scrubs and chemical exfoliants.
Scrubs use fine granules or crystals to polish the skin but at the same time will not irritate or scratch the skin. Most scrub treatments are only to be used 1-2 times a week. Chemical exfoliates use a chemical peeling agent to dissolve dead skin cells such as alpha or beta-hydroxy acids.
I have personally tried and loved the results I received using Mary Kay's Timewise Microdermabrasion as a scrubbing exfoliant and bliss Sleeping Peel Resurfacing Gel as a chemical exfoliant. This is a simple little treat you can give yourself for a quick pick me up. So get scrubbin' ladies, your skin will thank you!!!

Got Greasy Skin? - Beauty Tips For Greasy Skin
Try This Quick Simple Test:
In my last two blogs I chatted about dry skin and some of the products used to help dry skin. This time I would like to talk about dry skins older sister, oily skin. If your skin is truly oily it will appear shiny all over and tends to be prone to pimples, blackheads and whiteheads. But let's be sure that your skin is really oily. Take a blotting paper, dab the bridge of your nose and cheek. If your skin is normal then you will see spots on the paper. If your skin is oily then the paper will be saturated.
Okay, now that you have correctly identified that your skin is oily let's be sure that the products you are using are beneficial to your skin. Your skin care line should be oil free. Oil free products absorb oil but at the same time keep skin hydrated. Even though your skin is oily you still need to use a moisturizer to lock in hydration. Beauty For Your Skin - Quench Your Thirst Part II
Why moisturizers are so vital for everyone not just those who suffer from dry skin. Just as water is necessary for normal function of your body; skin cells require water for proper functioning. Even though you drink the required amount of water in a day your skin may not be getting the full benefit of water because water evaporates extremely fast from the skin.
Therefore, using moisturizers will drench your skin with ingredients that will hold water inside it helping to keep skin soft and supple. For dry skin look for creams rich in glycerin, essential oils and hyaluronic acid, this will quench skins thirst. To get the most from your moisturizer first, wash your face, pat dry and then apply moisturizer. Also, when selecting a moisturizer make sure to get one with a texture you like. It should also contain antioxidants to keep skin looking young.

Dry Skin Beauty Tips - Skin Thirsty? Well Quench Its Thirst
Every winter time it seems that the cold air sucks the life out of our skin especially your face. Cold outdoor air and warm dry indoor air really takes a toll on your face. If dry skin is a problem for you, as it is for many of us then give it what it needs most, moisture. Before you start treating your dry skin make sure that your skin is actually dry. Does it often feel tight and have flakey patches. Test your skin. If after washing your face, does it feel taut and uncomfortable after a minute? If so then your skin is on the dry side. You should try using a cream-based skincare product and gentle exfoliators to increase cell turnover.

Your Blushing Makeup Beauty Tips
Beauty Tips For Blushing Makeup Looks
For a natural blush that looks like you were playing outdoors use a cream blush in a pale pink cheek color. Start by applying blush from the apples of the cheek and continue to blend outward towards the ears with light strokes. Soften the edges of the blush line with a sponge. For a sexier O.M.G, blush, you want to first dust your cheeks with a bronzer. Then while using a shimmering pink blush, sweep blush along the cheekbones. This will bring light to your face and will subtly lift the cheekbones. I recommend using Givenchy Prisme Again! Blush Glow in Glowing Rose for either of these two looks. I hope you enjoy this exciting beauty tip.
