Read My Lips - They Make You Beautiful

It's All About The Lips

Lips don't lie! Our lips speak volumes about us without saying a single word. Lips can show signs of aging through loss of fullness, moisture and through the presence of, dare I say, wrinkles and who wants that? Who doesn't want beautiful lips?

It is the one part of your face that you can do one simple little thing that will instantly improve and perk-up your face. However, most of us have a thing or two that requires some fixin'. So don't neglect your pucker, give it a little lip service! The problem; Feeling flat? Hello Lip plumper! I have personally tried Duwop Lip Venom and although it is not collagen, it does give lips a temporary boost. After applying it, your lips feel warm and tingly and definitely look fuller.

Sun proof your pout. Sun exposure and especially sunburn can age the lips just like it does to the rest of your face. The fix, choose a lip gloss that contains an SPF such as BalmShelter tinted lip gloss which has an SPF of 17. This will give you great lip color and sun protection so you can look good while protecting your lips.

Wet your lips. Moisture is important for youthful lips. Dry, cracked and flaky lips look older and less kissable than well lubricated lips so be sure to try a product like Tarte inside out vitamin-infused lip gloss. This gloss is chock full of antioxidants that will help to hydrate and replenish lips. I hope that you found this info helpful and don't be afraid to share your new luscious lips with the one you love. I am sure you both will love the results! F.Y.I Lip-lock. Did you know, you can burn up to 15 calories per 15 minutes of kissing, so pucker-up! http://www.dietbites.com/

Pick-Up Line(r)

Eyeliner Techniques

Liquids, pots, pencils. How's a girl to choose? No matter the look you love, lined eyes are essential. Whether you like a lightly lined eye for a natural look or you like to go for the gusto with a more dramatic look, eyeliner makes eyes "pop" and gets you noticed.

It also makes the whites of the eyes look whiter and draws other's eyes to your eyes and who doesn't like that! But with so many different types of liner you have to find the one that works best for you. Pencil what most of us used to learn how to apply eyeliner with. Pencil liner is easy to use they come in a variety of colors, they can give you a smooth line and they can be easily smudged for a smoky look. (to smudge use a sponge tipped applicator).

Liquids can give you a very dramatic look and provides exact precision. Urban Decay liquid liner is a good example of a liquid liner. It goes on wet, dries shiny and you can smudge it to get a softer look. Pots, eyeliner can be worn straight or smudged and it won't budge such as Shiseido, The Makeup Accentuating Cream Eyeliner. This is a pot of creamy eyeliner that makes getting the smoky eye a piece of cake! Water, sweat and rubbing are no match for this eyeliner.

I personally use Sephora brand black eyeshadow for my eyeliner. I use a smudging brush and apply it to upper and lower lash line. I love this because it is easy to control how much drama I want to create with my liner. Let me know your favorite eyeliner and application techniques.

Hair - Plump Up The Volume

HAIR VOLUME

I fight the battle of plumping up fine hair every morning and most days I come up the looser. I have fine hair and it seems that I have tried almost every brand of hair products that promise to thicken my fine hair but most do not live up to their claims. The problem with fine hair is that many of the thickening cremes leave hair sticky or flat because it weighs too much for fine hair.

I have found that coloring your hair does plump up hair leaving it looking and feeling fuller (yeah!). Through my many years of personal test and trial with hair products I have found products that actually work for me. As far as shampoo and conditioners are concerned I love the Ojon hydrating thickening shampoo and conditioners they really do work well!

If you want a less expensive but still effective shampoo and conditioner then try Fructis body and volume line. For added volume and texture I use Rusk Radical Creme. It does not weight your hair down and it gives hair that "lived in " look. One product that I cannot live without is Jonathan Dirt Texturizing paste.

After you blow dry your hair take some of this product and run it through your hair and it instantly gives hair thickness and smooths strands. I only use a small amount because it is thick. I also read that you can use dry shampoo like Oscar Blandi pronto on the roots of dry hair to give hair a lift. Let me know of your own personal experiences that you have had with hair products for fine hair, the good and the bad. Till then.

Beauty Benefits Of Chocolate - "Yum"

Healthy Hair and Skin With Chocolate!!!

What's not to love about a beautiful red heart shaped box filled with those delectable little chocolate treasures. Each one is like a treasure box filled with a delicious surprise. Chocolate, just the word makes us happy. There are many reasons we enjoy chocolate other than it tastes awesome.

Research has shown us that chocolate contains flavonoids which act as antioxidants (good stuff). Antioxidants protect us against aging caused by free radials which can cause heart damage.. Flavonoids also help relax blood pressure and in one study consuming dark chocolate decreased the LDL (bad cholesterol) by 10%.

Don't forget the darker the chocolate the more health benefits. Why is it that when we are in need of a quick emotional pick me up we reach for chocolate? Chocolate stimulates endorphin production which causes a feeling of pleasure, it also contains serotonin which acts as an antidepressant. Not only does chocolate make you feel good inside it can help you look good on the outside.

A recent study has show that women who were given 1/2 cup of cocoa a day had skin that was more moister and smoother, not bad. February is women's heart health awareness month, so don't forget to think red. This includes that little red box of dark Valentine's Day chocolates.

Smooth Moves - Beauty Tips

Like many of us, you weren't born with model perfect sleek, smooth hair. But, oh, how you long to have it. Texture, humidity and heated styling tools and products all work against us in achieving our goals of smooth locks. Don't be discouraged.

There are a few tricks that you can do to realize your dream of frizz free hair.
  • Choose wisely. Make sure that the hair straightener you are using is ceramic. Ceramic straighteners allow heat to be distributed evenly and glides over strands easily.
  • Use a thermal hair protector spray such as GHD's thermal protector (available at Sephora) to deflect heat away from the hair's surface which creates an invisible shield around the hair cuticle to defend against heat damage and frizz.
  • Finally, use a silicone based antifrizz serum such as Bumble and Bumble antifrizz serum. This will tame frizz and smooth stands leaving your hair soft and silky.
  • Avoid a sticky situation. Just as an F.Y.I use 1/2 the amount of antifrizz serum in the summer as you use in the winter to avoid hair becoming sticky.

Please post your comments, Thanks.

Clean Your Pores For Healthy Skin

Feeling congested? Your pores that is. Well, decongest them! Do you struggle with clogged pores or are your pores too large and too obvious? Pores can look larger than they actually are because of sun damage from the past, excess oil build-up, insufficient exfoliation, bacterial {yes, bacteria} growth. And the end result, a great big zit.

Although you cannot change the physical diameter of your pores, you can, thanks to modern ingenuity, help pores appear smaller by removing excess oil and blackheads. Okay, now you know why your pores are a problem, how about some quick fixers. Dermadoctor has a cleanser to deep clean stubborn pore build-up.

Philosophy's On a Clear Day lotion helps to clear skin and minimize pore appearance. Do some deep scrubbing with Bliss, pore perfecting facial polish. This product sweeps away all of those pesky little, pore clogging particles. For a makeup that won't clog pores, minimize the look of pores and give skin a smooth even flawless look, try Modelco pore minimizer. Let me know your thoughts.
