It has probably happened to all of us, you put on some body oil to make those tanned gams of yours glow. I am always looking to switch things up a bit with my shampoo. Changing shampoo is good for your hair because it helps to clear up the residue left behind from other hair products. I have stumbled upon a product that is new to me and has become one of new fav hair products, shampoo bars. Instead of a liquid shampoo in a bottle, this shampoo is like a bar of soap only better.

Hello to all! Welcome to the "Mother" of all T.G.I.F blog posts. Of course I am talking about the celebration of Mother's day. Whether your a ma'ma yourself or you are the daughter of a proud ma'ma , Mother's day is something special to all of us.
WHY I AM HAPPY TO HAVE BEEN BORN A GIRL
I am happy to have been born a girl because I get to experience being a mom. I love being a mom but what I also love is the strong relationship that I have with my mom. There is just something very special about a Mother. We know how to listen when someone needs a compassionate ear. We love to talk(sometimes too much) and always try to help those we love. Sometimes just our simple touch can say much more than others have to say with words. Mom's are strong. loving, caring, compassionate and the one everyone goes to when they need to talk and feel better. (It's like we have super powers!)
GIVE YOUR MA'MA SOME LOVE
So please remember all that your mom or that special woman in your life has done for you and be sure to tell her how much you love her and appreciate her. Trust me, something as simple as a hand written note, flowers and a hug and a kiss can say soooo much. However, I must admit that I have very much enjoyed the Mother's day gifts that I recieved such as Coach handbags, sunglasses and my favorite cosmetics from Sephora!

OH, THE DRAMA! NARS EyeLiner Pencil, Benefit BADgal liner
I love the timeless look of the dramatic eye. Black or brown eyeliner paired with a neutral toned eyeshadow really makes eyes of all colors POP! This is a look that is easy to do because it doesn't require too much time or skill to achieve eye popping appeal. If this eye catching look is worthy enough for glam gals such as Jennifer Aniston, Angelina Jolie, Megan Fox and Cindy Crawford then it certainly is good enough for moi!
A LITTLE HELP PLEASE!
To get this look use an eyeliner pencil and make little dots along the lash line. Then use a sponge tipped applicator to blend the dots together. I like to next apply a line of powder eyeshadow in black ( of course) on top of the eyeliner. Then I lightly dust my lower lash line with the same shadow.
F.Y.I. For a little added drama you can use liquid liner instead of eyeshadow on top of the
pencil liner for a more defined eye.
Remember that when eyes are the main attraction of your face keep cheeks and lips natural looking. You don't want anything to up stage your eyes!

I am well aware of the use of the new trendy color for eyeliner this season such as Estee Lauder Duo-Tone Eye Pencil in Aqua and Teal. I have seen a young celeb or two wearing this color as an accent eye color and it looks cute. However, I don't know that I would wear this color eyeliner alone on both my upper and lower lash line. I like to stick with what works and looks best.

So while the other girls are frantically reaching for their powder, you stay calm and fresh faced because you use oil blotting sheets (smart girl). A true beauty diva is always prepared for any beauty disaster that may come her way. Oil blotting sheets are a makeup maven's handbag must.
LET THEM EAT CAKE!
Applying powder to a face with excess oil or moisture only makes your makeup look and feel "cakey" (yuck). Oil blotting sheets remove oil and moisture WITHOUT removing your makeup so you can stay sheik and shine free all day long. I have also found that I have fewer pimples, oops, sorry, I mean blemishes ( ladies do not get pimples, we get blemishes) from using these sheets.

I WANT A DO OVER! CLINIQUE EVEN BETTER MAKEUP
Don't you just wish that you could get a do over in life?( I know I do) If we could just erase away a foolish mistake (or two, three...) or something that didn't turn out the way you hoped it would. Well, that may not be possible to do, but thanks to Clinique you can at least erase away the sings of sun damage on your face.

Shameless sun worshipping in our teens and twenties has left many of us with age spots, fine lines and wrinkles that make us look older and less radiant. I don't know about you, but I still want to look great, not old and tired. Now, don't be so hard on yourself! Most of us did more than our fair share of tanning, because when you are young who is thinking about wrinkles and age spots? I know I wasn't, I was thinking about how good I look with tan!
RE-DO!
Clinique has a product called Even Better Skin Tone Corrector that is packed with Vitamin C that will push the reset button on your skin to undo the damage from sun exposure and even acne scarring. They also have a foundation called Even Better Makeup that works well for skin. Those of you who have been following my blog know that I am a Bare Minerals kind of girl but I must admit that I was impressed with Clinique's foundation! My skin felt soft, it looked smooth and most importantly, it did not make my pores look large. Blemishes and dark circles were easily concealed.
THE RESULTS ARE IN
Well not exactly. Clinique says that you will see improved skin clarity, a more even skin tone and diminished age spots in 4-6 weeks so I will have to wait a few more weeks to see the full benefit of these products. This will be a challenge in itself for me because I am NOT a patient girl but I promise I will stick with these two products as Clinique advises to.

Depending on our mood (and you know there are many) perfume or help create that perfect vibe that you want to give off. Perfume can make us feel pretty,sophisticated,adventurous, mysterious and the list goes on and on.
WITH SO MANY CHOICES HOW'S A GIRL TO CHOOSE?
A girl's fragrance is her signature because it says a lot about her. We all have a favorite scent we wear often. You know the one that those who are closest to us always recognize as your scent. My fav perfume is narciso rodriguez for her. It's funny how a certain familiar smell or scent can instantly trigger a memory of the person we remember wearing that cologne or perfume. I know that happens to me every time I smell Dior Homme I instantly think of my husband (it's his favorite cologne).
