1.Always start with a base coat. According the Kimmie Kyees (Rhianna's manicurist) " mattes have a reputation for not lasting as long as regular polishes". Bases coats help polish last longer and it also prevents yellow stains.
2. Matte polish dries fast, so apply 2 thin coats of polish to fill in streaks. Also, to achieve a matte finish skip the topcoat.
3. Love your fave, shiny nail shade but wish it had a matte finish? Simply apply a matte topcoat like CND Super Matte Topcoat for a cool matte finish!
